Let’s help your child thrive, without losing yourself in the process.
I have a beautiful 11 year old granddaughter who is mildly autistic. The tantrums and meltdowns are becoming more and more frequent and more violent. It is hard to manage. She has left very big bruises on my daughter and my other granddaughter (14 years) is frightened of her. She often misses out on quality time because my younger granddaughter demands so much. She is destroying doors, windows and other household items in her meltdowns. We have watched as many podcasts as we can and are implementing as much as possible. How do we protect the other children and our home whilst trying to understand and respond appropriately?
This is a tough situation, but safety is always your #1 priority. There's always a reason behind every behavior and it's really important to determine the underlying causes so you can change the aggression and violence. Occupational therapy can help with reactivity. Have you watched our free masterclass on behavior? https://thebehaviorrevolution.com/behavior-rev-webinar-registration/
