Hi Penny. i am super grateful for your podcasts and how real you are. i've just listened to the one on Mama wellness and it was brilliant. i have been so unwell (suffering with severe depression and burnout) and desperately needed to hear this. I have 3 Atypical sons (2 with ADHD also), an adopted daughter and an Atypical husband with ADHD (who we were only able to diagnose at age 50), so you can imagine the stress levels in our home. I live in South Africa, and there is very little practical support for ADHD and autism that doesn't cost a fortune, so i am extremely blessed to have found you online. My son who is highest on the spectrum is 17. He was only diagnosed 3 years ago (we struggled for years and years without understanding what was going on), is it too late to start implementing strategies for a calmer home now?
and i have some questions i need advice with about his future – is there a facebook group i can sign up to for people who are outside of the US who want to plan a hopeful future for their sons, but who don't have access to nearly anything like the amazing resources there are in the US?.
Thank you so much
Suzy Stapleton
